Endeared helps you write and send love notes to your partner. We built it to be private by default. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Your names, partner nickname(s), chosen messaging platform, reminder settings, sent-note history, saved favorites, and your streak/level progress are stored locally on your device using the operating system's app storage. We do not upload or have access to this data. It may be included in your device's own iCloud/Google backups according to your OS settings.
When you use an AI feature, the text you provide (the action or thought you want to express, and the first names used in the note) is sent to our server and on to one of our AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Groq) solely to generate the note that is returned to you. If you have saved details about your partner in Love Maps (for example their current stresses, dreams, or favorites), a short summary of those details may be included in that request to make the note more personal. We do not store the content of these requests or the generated notes on our servers, and we do not use them to train models.
If you turn on personal writing style (a Pro option), the example messages you paste are sent once to the same AI provider to create a short description of how you write. That description is stored only on your device and replayed to style future notes; we do not retain your pasted samples on our servers.
If you choose to pick your partner from your contacts, the app reads your contacts only to let you make that selection. The selected name and phone number are saved locally on your device and are never sent to us.
Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through our payments provider, RevenueCat. We never receive your full payment details. We do receive your subscription status and a pseudonymous app-user identifier so we can unlock Pro features and prevent abuse of the AI service.
To keep the app reliable and understand which features are useful, we use PostHog for anonymous product analytics (e.g. a note was sent, the paywall was viewed) and Sentry for crash reports. These are tied only to the pseudonymous app-user identifier described above — not to your name, partner, or note content.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party ads. We do not read or store the messages you send to your partner (those go directly through your own SMS/WhatsApp/share sheet).
Endeared is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
You can clear all locally stored data by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store / Google Play account settings.
